I spotted this Jaguar X-Type Sportwagon earlier today; it had a dealer plate on the back. It makes sense that Jaguar would make an estate version of the X-Type for Europe, but I had no idea that these were ever sold in the U.S.

Not only were they sold here, but you could even get one with a manual transmission :o)
I don’t know how many manual X-Type wagons they sold here, but they sold more than zero
Car and Driver featured the X-Type wagon (and IS300) in an article called “Unintentional Exotics”
The X-Type wagon is the best Jaguar ever made! Fuck the people who hate on them. It’s a wagon, available with a manual, and has the awesome hood ornament and luxury and prestige

They weren’t popular ; only ~1,600 were sold over here between 3 model years.

I’m fairly certain the manual transmission is weak.
That said, I wouldn't mind an AWD manual wagon x-type. Though I'm not sure that combination exists.

Unfortunately they didn’t offer the wagon with a manual in the US

What a lovely Ford Mondeo you have there.

(In reality, I’ve always sort of liked the X-Type.)

I’m normally not as interested in “newer” cars, but I WANT THAT.
